Dr. Stephens was born and raised as a 3rd generation Californian in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles, and graduated from Harvard High School in North Hollywood. During his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Irvine, Steve conducted research in Psychobiology and played NCAA Intercollegiate golf.

He began his career along the Miracle Mile of Wilshire Boulevard before moving to Oak Park in 1995. He began a smaller practice closer to home, sold the Los Angeles practice, and is now fully dedicated to caring for the wonderful neighbors and friends of the Conejo Valley.

Dedicated to community and education, Dr. Stephens is on the Seaver Advisory Board at Pepperdine University. He chaired the L.A. Dental Society's LADS Foundation Charity Golf Tournament for 10 years, served on the The Church of the Epiphany's Board of Directors for 4 years, and has chaired the Booster Club Golf Tournament at La Reina High School since 2002. Dr. Stephens is a vice president of the Americanism Educational League (www.americanism.org) and is president of Pilgrim Foundation, an organization focused on promoting the education of our youth. Each year he is proud to sponsor numerous local schools and charitable organizations, including Girl Scouts U.S.A., Boys & Girls' Club of the Conejo, National Charity League and various local youth sports programs.

Personally, Dr. Stephens is an avid golfer and total sports fan. He enjoys gardening and spending the day at the beach. But his most cherished and enjoyable activities are those spent together with his wife Stacey and daughters Camille and Jillian!
