These trays are soft and snug-fitting, with a special lip or ridge all along the gumline.  This ridge forces a peroxide gel under the gum itself, releasing oxygen and thus killing the bacteria within minutes.

Daily use of these trays eliminates the bacteria, reduces tartar buildup, stops bleeding and promotes the reduction of pocket depths. While in the mouth, H2O2 (peroxide) breaks down to H2O (water) and O (single oxygen molecule). This single oxygen molecule (a free radical) is undesirable; therefore an antioxidant is added to the gel used with the custom trays.
